Betty Mathers

Betty Arlene (nee: Whysong) Mathers, age 88, formerly of Croydon Acres passed away at Southern Ocean Center on Friday, May 2, 2014. She was born on July 5, 1925 in Riddlesburg, PA, and graduated from Broad Top High School and Thomas Jefferson School of Nursing. She was employed at Lower Bucks Hospital in the maternity ward. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Dolly Whysong, and her husband Daniel. She is survived by her sister Mary Adina Ritchey; her children Daniel Mathers, Mary Ellen (Paul) Leinheiser, Dennis (Diane) Mathers, and Stephen Mathers; grandchildren Joseph (Cindy) McCaskey, Daniel Mathers, Paul (Amy) Leinheiser, Karl (Heather) Leinheiser, and Brian (Christy) Leinheiser; great grandchildren Karl, Lindsay, Kyle, Brian, Lacey, Kamryn, Brady and Brielles Leinheiser, and Beth McCaskey; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may attend her viewing on Wed., 8:15-10:15am at Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Rd., Levittown. Funeral Mass, 11am, at St. Ann Church, Bristol.
