Robert Ausura

February 28, 1952 — April 25, 2014

Robert “Bob” J. Ausura, passed away on April 25, 2014. He was 62. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and a resident of Levittown since 1954; he was the beloved son of the late Marion and Joseph F. Ausura, and brother to the late Ralph J. Ausura. He retired as a teacher from the School District of Philadelphia, and was proud to have served his nation as a member of the United States Marine Corps. He was actively involved with the Disabled American Veterans organization, and served as Judge Advocate with the Vietnam Memorial–Bensalem DAV Chapter #85-PA, and former Adjutant of the Lower Bucks County DAV Chapter #117-PA. Bob had a passion for the American political process and he was a volunteer on several political campaigns for those seeking local, state, and federal office. Relatives and friends may attend his viewing from 11am-noon on Thursday (May 8) at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Interment will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or cards, Mr. Ausura wished that a contribution be made to Disabled American Veterans Charitable Trust Fund, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076, the American Diabetes Association, or a charity of one’s choice.
