Frank Scordia

September 23, 1928 — March 2, 2014

Frank V. Scordia, age 85, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Lower Bucks Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Frank was a life-long Bristol resident and lived his life giving freely of his time and energy; helping all the residents of the “2nd Ward”. He helped any, and everyone who crossed his path. Frank was an employee of the Doylestown Court House for 40 years, and was involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations. A man of principles and honor, he was an extremely dedicated public servant and loyal friend. He was a graduate of Bristol High School class of 1947, and served during the Korean War; but remained close to Grundy’s clock his entire life. Frank was an avid Brooklyn Dodgers fan and his passion followed the “boys of summer” to L.A. and beyond. Go Dodgers! Frank was predeceased by his parents Vincenzo and Francesca; his brother John; sister Margaret; and son Vincent. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Margaret; his son Robert (Laureen); daughter Fran; daughter-in-law Patty Scordia; 5 grandchildren whom he adored and took pride in, Stephanie, Vincent, Christina, Karleen, and Robert Frank Scordia; sister Jean Deon; nieces and nephews; and many close friends and neighbors. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, 9:30am, at St. Ann Church where a Funeral Mass will begin at 10am. The family requests memorial contributions be made in his name to St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol, PA 19007.
