Joseph LaRosa

Joseph J. LaRosa passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the age of 66. Joey, as he was called by family and friends, was born and raised in Bristol Borough. He resided in the Bay area of California for the past 40 years, and was a retired employee of the San Francisco Chronicle. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Joseph enjoyed reading, writing, and baseball; but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren with whom he resided. He was preceded in death by his wife Nova; and his parents Joseph and Angela (nee: Indelicato) LaRosa. He will be greatly missed by his son Stephan Pennington; his daughter Angela Joynt and her husband John; and his grandchildren Johnny and Torren Joynt. He is also survived by his sister Mary Jane Cavanaugh and her husband Pat; his brother Lenny LaRosa and his wife Alicia; his nieces and nephews Toni Bley, Kelli Young, and Joseph and Michael LaRosa; Relatives and friends are invited to call 11am on Friday, Jan.3, at St. Francis Cabrini Church in Levittown where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12noon.
