Antonio DeFranco

Antonio DeFranco, age 92, of Bristol Boro, died peacefully on Dec. 23, 2013 at Statesman Nursing Ctr. Born in Foggia, Roseto, Italy, he resided in Pierce, West Virginia, for many years before moving to Bristol 70 years ago. He was a retired machinest for Yale & Towne in Phila. Mr. DeFranco was a WWII Army vet who served in the European theatre. He was a lifetime member of St. Ann Athletic Assoc., Sons of Italy, and the American Legion Post 382. Mr. DeFranco was a loving and caring family man. He was predeceased in death by his loving wife Mary (nee: Ferraro), and his brother Pompeii. He will be missed by his children Antonia Ostrowski (Bob), Gina Hinkle and Jack Agnew, and Donald DeFranco (Patricia); and his grandchildren Steven (Suzannah), Adrienne Ostrowski, Robert Ostrowski (Sue), Kyle Hinkle (Jenny), Rebecca DeFranco, Caroline Hinkle, and Matthew DeFranco; and great granddaughters Maddie & Grace Ostrowski. Also brothers Fabio Peter DeFranco (Alice), Mike DeFranco (Jean), Joseph DeFranco (Ann); and sister Mary Hemp (John); and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call Friday, 9-10am, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St., Bristol. Funeral service will begin 10am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Mark Ceme.
