Rita Goodhart

Rita T. Goodhart (nee: DiGiuseppe), age 93, passed away peacefully on Sept. 18, 2013, at Crestview Nursing Home. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Vineland, NJ, she was a graduate of Villanova University where she graduated with a nursing degree. After which she joined the U.S. Army and served in France as a nurse in the army hospital. After returning home, she worked for several local hospitals, and lastly was employed by American Can Co. as a nurse. She enjoyed cooking, square dancing, traveling, and camping throughout the United States and Mexico. Rita will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, and good friend to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents Querino and Assunta DiGiuseppe; a sister Gloria Wentzel; a brother Albert “Bud” DiGiuseppe; and her loving husband, of 38 years, Grant Goodhart Sr. Rita will be sadly missed by her children Grant Goodhart Jr. and his wife Lida, Christine Woryk, and Carol Williams and her husband Jeffrey. She is the loving grandmother of Melanie, Jason, Tara, Grant III, Victoria, Alexander, and Justin; and great grandmother of Isabella, Genavieve, Emma, Scarlett, and Savannah; and also many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30am at Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 1200 Park Ave., Bensalem, PA. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. The family requests donations in her memory to Bucks County Association for the Blind, 400 Freedom Dr., Newtown, PA 18940.
