Emily Serenelli

Emily R. Serenelli (nee: Potena), age 90, of Bristol Borough, passed away on Tues., July 16, 2013 at Statesman Nursing Home. Born and raised in Bristol Borough, she was the devoted wife of the late Giovanni Serenelli. She was an employee of the former Delaware Valley Medical Center and later retired from Rohm & Haas in Bristol Borough. Emily was very religious. She was a traditional Italian wife and mother who loved cooking, baking, dancing with her late husband, and summer trips to the Jersey shore; but most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Daughter of the late James and Angeline Potena, she was also predeceased by her brothers Dominick Potena and his wife Mary (nee: Sottile) and James “Sonny” Potena. She will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted son John Serenelli Jr. and his wife Michele of Fairless Hills; and her adoring grandchildren Tyler, Trevor, and Gianni. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Potena and his wife Florence; her sister-in-law Judith Potena; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Fri., 7pm-9pm, and Sat., 8am-8:45am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Sat., 9:30am, at St. Francis Cabrini Church. Interment is in St. Mark Cemetery.
