Carol Joyce Huey Logan of Fairless Hills, PA, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on 6/16/13. She was 85. She was the beloved wife of Norman Logan for almost 60 years. Carol was the devoted mother of Lynda Andre Spivack (David), Brent Logan, and David Logan (RuthAnn); loving grandmother of Ryan Andre (Kim), Kristen Andre Scancella (Vincent), Amber, Sean, Briana, Haily, and Angeline Logan, and Ariele and Isabele Spivack; and loving great grandmother of Gianni and Alanna Scancella. Carol was born in Schuylkill Haven, PA, on 1/13/28. She was preceded in death by her parents Isaac and Ida Mae Huey; her sister Miriam (Huey) Roth; and brothers Guy and Lewis Huey. She graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Music and Elementary Education. She had a beautiful voice and was a requested soloist at many church and social events through her high school and college years. Carol was a dedicated elementary school and music teacher for over 40 years in both NJ and PA. She was also the Director of the Head Start Program for the Trenton Board of Education for many years. All were drawn to Carol's warm and welcoming smile. She always had a kind word or compliment; and her loving, compassionate ways touched everyone she met. She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, and walking. She most loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of the Martha Washington Garden Club in Yardley, the Bristol Historical Society in Bristol, and a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church. A private family burial was held at Washington Crossing Nat'l Cemetery in Newtown. A memorial service will be held Sat., July 20, 3pm,at St. John Lutheran Church, 1203 Pine Grove Rd., Morrisville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in her honor to Chandler Hall Hospice, Attn: Development, 99 Barclay St., Newtown, PA 18940 or St. John Lutheran Church, 1203 Pine Grove Rd., Morrisville, PA 19067.
