Harrison McCarthy

Harrison “Harbo” McCarthy of Bristol, PA, died on Sunday, June 30, 2013 peacefully at his home in Levittown, PA. He was 66 years old. He was a loving husband to Maryann McCarthy of 43 years, a caring father to Claudine and Christopher, and will be missed by all; including his son-in-law Eric and granddaughter Sophia Schneider. Born in Bristol, PA, he was the son of the late Augustine and Beulah McCarthy, and the brother of the late Dennis and Mary Ann. Harrison was a Bristol boy at heart, a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Ancient Order of Hibernians, where he was proud of his Irish heritage and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He worked for 35 years at Rohm & Haas. He loved his morning talks with his son Christopher, preparing lunch for his wife Maryann and spending time with his daughter Claudine and granddaughter Sophia. “Harry lives slowly day by day; he has much more fun that way” was noted in his 1966 Bristol High School year book and had become to be the hallmark to which he approached life, his ability to enjoy it, and most importantly his time with his family. He will be greatly missed. Family and friends may call Wed., 10:30-12noon, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol. A Funeral Service will begin 12noon in the funeral home.
