Rita Polizzi

Rita Polizzi (nee: DiRosa), age 89, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2013, at her residence with her sons by her side. She was born in Philadelphia and raised in Bucks County, and later moved to Morrisville to raise her family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother who was very proud of her Italian heritage. She enjoyed cooking many Italian specialties and crocheting in her earlier years. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Julia DiRosa; and the love of her life, Samuel, of whom she was married to for 42 years; her 3 brothers Nicholas, Rocco, and Carmen DiRosa; and 2 sisters Lucy Gonnella and Annetta DiRosa. Rita will be greatly missed by her loving sons Philip Polizzi of Morrisville, and Paul Polizzi and his wife JoAnn of Levittown. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many good friends; especially Gertrude Argenti. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Tuesday, 9-11am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Rd., Levittown. Funeral Mass will begin 12noon at Holy Trinity Church. Interment is in Our Lady of Grace Ceme. The family requests memorial donations to Holy Trinity Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Morrisville, PA 19067.
