Jose Rosario

Jose R. Rosario, age 66, of Bristol Borough, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, he has been a resident of Bristol Borough for 41 years. He was a retired employee of Simon & Schuster in Bristol Borough. He loved building and flying radio-controlled airplanes. Jose was a proud and generous man who was always joking with or helping those close to him. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Anna Rosario and his son Benjamin Gartner; and will be greatly missed by his children Marisol Rosario, Carmen Malave, Marie Johnson and her husband Steve, Carlos Malave, Angie Rivera, Cathy “Cookie” Mendez and her husband Carlos, Anna Ruiz and her husband Louis, and Tony Malave and his wife Lisa. He will also be missed by his 16 adoring grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, a sister Anna “Cecilia” and her husband Carlos Colon, and many other siblings residing in Puerto Rico. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wed., 7pm-9pm, and Thurs., 8:30am-9:30am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Funeral Mass will begin 10am at St. Ann Church. Interment will follow in St. Mark Cemetery.
