Myrtle Lewis

Myrtle H. Lewis (nee: Catarious), of Langhorne, PA, passed away on May 4, 2013 at St. Mary Hospital. She was 79. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she has been a resident of Levittown since its inception in 1953. She was employed for 19 years in the payroll department at Pomeroy’s, until they closed. Later, she was employed at the I.R.S., and eventually retired from the Pennsylvania State Unemployment Office. She was a devoted member of Emilie Methodist Church where she was active with their Sunday School and the Bell Choir. She was a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 102 at Emilie Methodist Church, and also a former trustee and endowment fund officer at the church. Myrtle enjoyed all forms of needle craft, reading, and interacting with people; but most of all she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years Harold H. Lewis; and will be missed by her children Bob and his wife Pat, Ron and his wife Chris, and Carol all of Levittown, and Jim of Bristol. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; her sister Jean Dickson of Warminster; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
