Angelo Cianciosi Jr.

November 25, 1924 — April 22, 2013

Angelo Cianciosi Jr. “Pinky”, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2013 at Thomas Jefferson Medical Center in Philadelphia. He was a life-long resident of Bristol Borough and was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran who served in WWII and the Battle of the Bulge. He was a retiree of the Department of Defense where he worked as a Physicist and was a member of Bristol Moose 1169. He loved spending time at the shore with his family, and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Eagles, and held season tickets for over 28 years. He later became a Villanova football fan attending a game in Milan in 1986. He had the gift of making you feel like you were the most important person in the room. He was Chief Architect of the Annual Cianciosi Pig Roast, a maker of great soups, and lover of good wines. He enjoyed sitting under a tree on the beach of Escambrone, Puerto Rico (Old San Juan) with his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents Angelo and Rose Cianciosi; his 2 brothers Michael and Caesar “Chester”; 3 sisters Rachel, Stella, and Florence; a niece Gina; his previous wife Patricia (nee: McGinnis); and a nephew John. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 18 years Joan H. (nee: Wagner); his children Christopher Gallagher and his wife Jacquelyn, Thomas Gallagher and his wife Letitia, Cathy Vail and her husband Steve, Patty Parise and her husband Bob, Mary Helck and her husband Gordon, Loren Greco, Stephen Greco, and Bobby Greco and his wife Gina. He is the proud grandfather of T.C., Raymond, Rachel, Daniel, Kayla, Noah, Sabrina, Lauren, and Marisa; and is also survived by nieces and nephews Mark, Elaine, Gioia, Robert, John and Dee Dee, and Michela; and numerous great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday, 7pm-9pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol. All are invited to attend his Funeral Mass Friday, 8:30am, at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
