Johanna Crosby

Johanna M. Crosby, 76, of Bristol Boro, died at Chandler Hall in Newtown on 3/27/13. Born in Scranton, PA, she resided in Bristol Boro for most of her life. She was a retired employee of Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, and previously was a Senior Banking Officer at Western Savings Bank and later at PSFS. She was also an executive assistant for State Rep. John Cordisco. Joann devoted much time to helping others, including volunteer work for charitable organizations such as United Way. She was an active and energetic woman who enjoyed swimming, reading and traveling. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, grandson Anthony Farro, and brother John Bosco. She was loved deeply and will be sadly missed by her children Catherine Farro (Tony) of Langhorne, and Robert (Sheila) of Holland. Also her adoring grandchildren Devin Farro, and Pearson, Leland, Johanna, Neil, Emma, Ian and Robert Crosby; her mother Lucy Bosco; her brothers Daniel (Marie) and Frank (Patty); sister Lucy Karp of Nevada; and many nieces and nephews, and her best friend and longtime companion James Foley. Family & friends may call Tues., 7pm-9pm, and Wed., 8:30-9:30am, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St. in Bristol. Funeral Mass, 10am, at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem. Contributions to St. Ann Church or Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown.
