Michael Scenna

Michael A. Scenna, age 62, suddenly passed away on March 7, 2013 at St. Mary Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Bristol Boro, he was known in the community as “Twigs”. A former employee of Rohm & Haas, Mike recently worked at Parx Casino as a security officer where he made many great friendships. An avid sports fan, Mike devoted 40 years to coaching Little League in Bristol Boro, as well as coaching for St. Ann CYO basketball. He will be remembered as a kind, caring, and loving husband, father, brother, and good friend to all who knew him. He brought a smile to the face of anyone who crossed his path. He was preceded in death by his parents Nicholas and Helen Scenna; and will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 40 years Peggy (nee: Shire). He is the devoted father of Michelle (Shawn) and Peggy Ann; and beloved brother of Paul Scenna and Phyllis Venturino. He is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, his special little buddies Caden and Bella. He will be remembered by many good friends, especially his lifelong friend Louis Persichetti, as well as his faithful companions Dinky and Diesel. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday, 6pm-9pm, and Wednesday, 9am-10am, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol.
