Vincent James Boccardo, age 62, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2013 at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia with his wife by his side. Born and raised in Bristol Borough, he has been a resident of Croydon for the past 12 years. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran who served in Vietnam. He was a Chemical Reactor Operator for Rohm & Haas/Dow Chemical Co. for many years. Vince was a well-known alcohol fuel drag racer who was usually seen at ATCO & Maple Grove Race Tracks. He was an avid hunter who hunted in various places throughout the county. He enjoyed all kinds of hunting, but most of all water fowl. He was meticulous in all things he loved to do. Vince was a member of the Bristol Lions and devoted member of St. Ann Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Anna Maria Boccardo. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife Mary (nee: Vittorio); and loving father of Vinny and Joanna Boccardo. He is also survived by his older children Tina, Irene, and Toni; his sister Theresa Pecsi; several grandchildren; nephews, cousins; and many good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday, 7pm-9pm, and Tuesday, 8:30am-9:30am, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am at St. Ann Church. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
