Theresa Comido

Theresa A. “Terry” Comido (nee: O’Donnell), age 69, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2013, at her residence. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she has been a resident of Abington for the past 28 years. Terry was employed at Abington Memorial Hospital for 25 years. Most of that time was as an Aide in the Rehab Department. Throughout the years, she achieved many awards such as the Gold Standard Award, the Ambassador Award, and the most prestigious of awards, the Williamson. She also served as a Judge of Elections for Abington Township ward 11-1. Terry was a devout parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christians where she enjoyed serving as a lector. She will be remembered as a wonderful, loving, and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Bridget O’Donnell; a brother-in-law Daniel Duffy; and her niece Theresa Slater. She will be greatly missed by, the love of her life, Anthony “Tony” of 42 years; and her children Theresa Comido, Ann Marie Godfrey and her husband J. Andrew, Kathleen Politi and her husband Nathaniel, and John Comido. She is the loving grandmother of Carly Ann Godfrey, Joshua Paul Politi, and Nina Marie Politi; devoted sister of Frances Duffy; proud aunt of 6; and great aunt of 12. Terry was an avid reader. She enjoyed her vacations at the shore. But most especially, Terry loved spending time with family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Sat. (Feb. 2) from 9-10:30am at Our Lady Help of Christians (1500 Marian Rd., Abington, PA). Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
