Harry L. Scheld, Age 85, of Langhorne, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, he was a resident of Bensalem and an original Levittowner before moving to Langhorne in 1984. Harry was employed as a Mechanical Engineer for U.S. Steel Fairless Works, and later Allstate Engineering & Design in Langhorne until his retirement over 20 years ago. He was a WWII Navy Veteran who served with the Sea-bees in the Pacific Theatre on Okinawa and Japan. Harry was an avid runner and member of the Bucks County Road Runners. He also completed a half marathon (13 miles) in Ocean City, NJ. He enjoyed music and reading and was an avid Penn State fan; but his first love was always his family. He was preceded in death by his youngest son Christopher, and will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 61 years, Ann Marie (nee: Greco); his children Dan and his wife Rose of Littleton, Colorado, Mark and his wife Karla of Effort, PA, and Tina Rotunno and her husband Dave of Langhorne; his 11 grandchildren Rick, Erik, Greg, Andrew, Evan, Dominic, Keith, Linda, Stephanie, Kyle, and Gia; and 6 great grandchildren Gabriel, Hannah, Owen, Adrian, Kamryn, and Elise; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, 6pm-9pm, and Friday, 9am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road where a funeral service will begin at 10am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 322 8th Ave., 6th Fl., New York, NY 10001.
