Richard H. Brown Sr. “Pinky”, age 65, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2012, at Jefferson Medical Center in Philadelphia surrounded by his loving children. He was born in Philadelphia and raised in the Bucks County area; and recently lived in Bristol Boro. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He served with the 1st Air Calvary Division Company “C” Second Battalion 8th Calvary, and was a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient. He will be remembered as a very sociable, out-going man who enjoyed gardening, music, concerts on the river, and most of all attending Phillies games where he has been a season holder for the past 20 years. Most of all, Rich truly loved his family and looked forward to spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Kathryn Brown; his brother Patrick; and his brother-in-law Harry L. Jackson Jr. He will be sadly missed by his children Robin Lerro and her husband Michael, Janell Brown and her husband Sean Foley, and Richard Brown Jr. He is the beloved grandfather of Brooke, Ryan, Sean, and Marissa Lerro, and Emma, Olivia, Abigail, and Blaize Foley. He is also survived by his sister Kathleen Brown-Jackson; his nephews George and Barry Brown; and a world full of loving friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Friday 12noon at the Galzerano Funeral Home 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Rd., Levittown, PA, 19007, where a religious service will begin at 1:30pm. Interment will be held in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Galzerano Funeral Home at the above address.
