Frances Luppino

Frances Luppino, age 98, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2012. Born and raised in Bristol Boro, she was the owner and operator of Frances Luncheonette; known as the Old Flat Iron in Bristol. She was very business savvy, and had a love for taking care of people; especially through food. She enjoyed traveling throughout the world with her family and friends. Frances was an active member of St. Ann Parish throughout her life. She enjoyed a good game of pinnacle with her cousins, and loved the time she spent with her family and enjoyed cooking for them; especially her special meatballs as well as a variety of things. Although Frances was an aunt to many, she was more like a mother figure to her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Vito and Francesca (nee: Mangiaracina) Luppino; her sister Jennie Lombardo; brother-in-law Rocco “Tut”; nephew Vito Lombardo and his wife Mary, and the love of her life, her fiancée, James Guarnieri. She will be greatly missed by her devoted nieces and nephews Robert Lombardo and his wife Carrie, Mimi Miller and her husband Dan, and Anthony, David, and Paul Lombardo; and great great nieces and nephews Mary, Joseph, Danny, Jacob, James, Victoria, and Madison. She is also survived by many loving and caring friends; especially Pat and Larry Harvey, Peter and Margaret Gallagher, Sarah Batschelet, Amy Forsyth, and Theresa Andrews. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thurs., 7pm-9pm, and Friday, 8:30am-9:30am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St., Bristol Boro. Followed by her Funeral Mass, 10am, at St. Ann Church. Burial will follow in St. Mark Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol, PA 19007.
