Diana Zuchero

Diana A. Zuchero, age 61, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2012, at Chandler Hall in Newtown. Diana was educated in Nursing at Northeastern Hospital, and received her Bachelor Degree at Spring Garden College in Chestnut Hill. After graduation she continued to work at Northeastern Hospital for 10 years, eventually becoming the head nurse of the hospital’s Infusion Team. She would continue her career by becoming a nursing pioneer in the field of home care infusion and enteral therapy in the Philadelphia market; working for such national companies as Baxter-Travenol, American Continue Care, and other companies that would embark on the delivery of intravenous and enteral therapies in the patient’s home. Diana became an integral part of a local startup infusion company, Home Health Care Resources, where she was the original nurse manager, partner, and a shareholder of the corperation. She also taught health care billing, phlebotomy, and health care documentation at Pierce College in Philadelphia. Later in her career, she became a sought after consultant to other companies for guidance in policy development, strategic planning, and compliance because of her experience and knowledge in the field of home health care infusion. Her latest endeavor was at MedPro where she was a manager of the tri-state area assigning professional nurses to deliver home infusion therapies. Her experience and professionalism in the delivery of care and education in the field of home care infusion was recognized and respected by many of her peers. She will be remembered fondly and will be greatly missed in the nursing and home health care infusion community. She was preceded in death by her father Alfred Zuchero. She will be greatly missed by her mother Virginia (nee: Bianco) Zuchero; her sisters Stella Hett and her husband Patrick, and Virginia Zuchero and Peter Zuchero. She is also survived by Uncle John Zuchero and Aunt Mary Everly, and Frances Zuchero; 3 nieces Danielle, Jennifer, and Stephanie; 2 nephews David and Marc; a great niece Erika; 2 great nephews Ryan and Benjamin; and numerous cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Sat., 10:30am, to celebrate her Funeral Mass at St. Ann Church. Interment is private.
