Alfred L. Caputo “Sonny”, age 77, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2012, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, and later in life he moved to Bucks County. He worked for many years at Sears in the Electronic Department, and was a teacher at the Technical School in Mercer County and also a substitute teacher at Middle Bucks Technical School. Sonny was a United States Army veteran who served during the Korean conflict. He loved taking cruises and trips to the Ocean City shore, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Alfred was a loving, caring, and generous husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and good friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis and Filomena Caputo; his brother Louis Caputo; and sister Jenny Broomall. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend, Patricia (Kennedy). He is the devoted father of Michael and his wife Rossanna, Alfred “Sonny”, and Marie Miller and her husband Joseph; and his extended children Lisa Brandau, Erica Feliciano, Richard Brandau, and Joseph Brandau. He is the loving grandfather of 11, and great grandfather of 6. He is also survived by his brother Robert Caputo and his wife Carol; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, 6pm, at St. Francis Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA. Funeral Mass will begin at 7pm. Interment is private. The family requests donations to American Disabled Veterans Assoc., P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250, attn: gift processing.
