Guillermo Sanchez Sr., age 65, passed away peacefully August 24, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Ituado, Puerto Rico, he has been a resident of Bristol for the past 45 years. He was a long-time employee of Columbia Lighting, and he would be most remembered as owner/operator of Sanchez Pizza. He was a hard-working and jovial man who was always willing to help anyone in need; but his 1st love was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Luz Maria (nee: Crespo)”Lula”; devoted father of Maria Hamilton and her husband Frank, Betty Sanchez, and Guillermo Sanchez “Jr.”; proud grandfather of Thomas, Denise, Brittany, Craig, Madeline, Marquis, Makayla and Kasandra; and great grandfather to Kenny, Thomas Jr., and Ethan. He is also survived by his siblings Emma, Gladys, Lucy, & Ulysses of Bristol, and Milagros, Consuelo, Saida, Virginia, David, Efrain, & Marcel of Puerto Rico; and many close brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Crespo family, and good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wed., 8:30-10am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street in Bristol, followed by his funeral Mass, 10:30am, at St. Mark Church. Interment is in St. Mark Cemetery.
