Guglielmo Berardis

Guglielmo Berardis “Willie Abruzzo”, age 79, of Bristol, PA, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012, at St. Mary Hospital in Langhorne. Born and raised in Campobasso in Abruzzo, Italy, he resided in Sao Paolo, Brazil, for 15 years before moving to Bristol in 1968. Willie and his son owned and operated Abruzzo Carpet Co. in Bristol Boro. He was a member of the St. Ann Athletic Club, the Moose Lodge 1169, and the Italian Mutual Aid all in Bristol Boro. Willie was well-known around the area and enjoyed socializing with friends at the local social clubs, but his first love was always his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Ismenia; his children Gloria Paolini and her husband Stephen, and William Berardis all of Bristol Boro; his grandson Michael Anthony DiValerio; and great grandson Michael Anthony DiValerio Jr. all of whom he adored. He is also survived by 2 sisters and 1 brother residing in Europe. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, 6pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St., Bristol Boro. Funeral service will begin 9pm in the funeral home. Interment will be private. Family requests donations in his memory to American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd., Blue Bell, PA 19422.
