Charles C. Kovalcik, age 83, passed away on June 17, 2012 at Sierra Oaks Assisted Living in Bensalem surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Vandergrift, PA, he relocated to the newly formed area of Levittown in 1953 to work and raise his family. He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army, and a retiree of U.S. Steel Mill where he worked as a Millwright for over 47 years. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family in Bradford Co. at his “mountain house.” He will be remembered as a loving and caring father, grandfather, and great grandfather who was a true family man. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret (Pierce) of 56 years; his siblings; his granddaughters Stephanie A. and Jennifer A. Kovalcik; and a daughter-in-law Pamela L. Kovalcik. He will be greatly missed by his children Charles E. and his wife Donna L., Edward M. and his wife Bernadette M., William J. and his wife Beverly A., Barbara L. Grande and her husband Mark, and James A. and his wife Pamela M. He is the devoted grandfather of Leslie, William, Michael, James, Nicholas, his godson Matthew, and Justin; and great grandchildren Tyler, Zachary, Matthew, and William. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wed., 10-11:30am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Rd. in Levittown. A Funeral Mass will begin 12noon at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
