Edna Powell

Edna M. Powell (nee Johnson), age 81, passed away peacefully on Monday June 11, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ, she resided in Yardley, PA, for many years before moving to Tullytown in 1957, where she resided until moving to Mohrsville. She is the wife of the late Marvin Powell Jr. Edna enjoyed camping and playing cards with her family, trips to the casino and playing bingo; but most of all she loved her family. She will be greatly missed by her children: Linda M. Peterson and her husband Arnold of Fairless Hills, Patty Hicks and her husband Jim with whom she resided, Tom Powell and his wife Alberta of Levittown and, Sharon Bresley and her husband Michael of Newtown. She is also survived by 12 adoring grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, good friends, and her faithful pets “Sweetie” and “Jack.” Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, 9-10, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Rd., Levittown. A celebration of life will begin, 11am, at Christ United Methodist Church (501 Wistar Rd., Fairless Hills 19030) Burial will follow in Newtown Cemetery.
