James “Jimmy” V. Pirollo, age 89, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at the home of his daughter in Feasterville. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Bristol Borough for over 65 years. Mr. Pirollo was a WWII Army Veteran who served in the Pacific theatre. He was also involved in boxing in the Army and in civilian life; and was “affectionately” called Punchie Pirollo. Jimmy was a devoted Phillies fan, loved trips to the casinos, and Frank Sinatra; but most of all he loved his family. He was predeceased by his loving wife Millie (nee: Mauro); his brothers Tony, Tillie, Albert, Frank, Rick, Larry, and John; and sisters Rosalie and Rose. He will be greatly missed by his children James Pirollo, Caroline Denhamer and her husband Ko; his grandchildren Christina (Jerry) Herrington, Danielle Pirollo, Brandon Pirollo; and his grand-dogs Frankie and Tyson. He is also survived by many caring nieces and nephews; especially Larry Pirollo and his wife Diane, and Rose Marie Logan and her husband Tom, and their daughter Gina. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wed., 8:30am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St., Bristol. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10am at St.Ann Church. Interment will follow in St. Mark Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hope for the Animals, 89 Pinewood Dr., Levittown, PA 19054.
