Joseph Castor

Joseph M. Castor, age 86, passed away on April 22, 2012 at Aria Hospital. Born and raised in Bristol, PA, he was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII in the Pacific theatre aboard the U.S.S. Randolph. He was a retiree of Meade Packaging where he worked as a Machine Operator. He enjoyed photography, dancing, and trips to the casino; but most of all he loved spending time with his wife and family. He will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, brother, and good friend to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Josephine Castor; and his granddaughter Amanda Castor. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 65 years Gioiella (nee: Donofrio); his children Mary Jo Barber and her husband David Sr., and Richard Sr. and his wife Gail. He is the proud grandfather of David Barber Jr., Dwayne Palcko, Richard Castor Jr., Ryan Krieger and his wife Stephanie, and Brianne Krieger; and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Rita Capodicci and her husband Mike; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, 6pm, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, followed by his funeral service, 8pm, at the funeral home.
