John Armstrong

John Eugene Armstrong, age 72, of Hulmeville, PA, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012, at St. Mary Hospital. Born in Pittston, PA, he was a resident of Plymouth, PA, for many years before moving to this area in 1961. He was a 1957 graduate of St. Vincent High School in Plymouth, PA. He was a retired employee of P.S.E. & G. in New Jersey where he was employed for 34 years. John was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served from 1957 to 1961. He was a member of the VFW Post 6084 and enjoyed NASCAR racing, gardening, and spending time with his many wonderful friends and now deceased dog Murphy. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 50 years Diane (nee: Moss); his daughter Tracey Bratton of Philadelphia; and his granddaughter Katie Ann Chekay. He is also survived by several cousins and many wonderful friends. Funeral arrangements and burial in Washington Crossing Veteran Cemetery will be held at a later date under the direction of the Galzerano Funeral Home.
