Edward A. Marcella, age 85, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong Bristol resident, he was a graduate of Bristol High School class of 1944. He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran. Edward was a retired employee of Lower Bucks Housing Authority, as well as a part-time employee for over 20 years at Bucks County Courier. He was a deeply religious man who was a very active parishioner of St. Ann Church. He was a former teacher at St. Ann School, a member of Charismatic Prayer Group of St. Ann, a minister of the holy communion, a lector, and more recently served as an usher. He is predeceased by his parents Emidio and Rose (nee: Bianco) Marcella; his sister Marie Forman; nephew Wayne Forman and Richard Johnson; and niece Renee Johnson. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 65 years Rita (nee: Sionne). He is the loving father of Robin Costello and Ronald Marcella; devoted grandfather of Philip, Raymond, Edward, and Eric Yedman, and Daniel Costello; and great grandfather of Philip III, Raymond Jr., Ryan, Jennifer, and Eric Yedman. He is also survived by his sister Rose Johnson; and nephews, nieces, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Thursday, 10:30am, at St. Ann Church (357 Dorrance Street). Interment will be conducted privately.
