Joseph Reed

Joseph F. Reed, age 65, of Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2012, at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Phila., PA. He was born in Hazleton, PA, and raised in Staunton, VA; later moving to the Levittown area. Joe was a U.S. Navy Veteran during Vietnam, and was stationed on a Destroyer protecting the Panama Canal. He was a Master Chef for Seafood Shanty Restaurant for over 20 years, and later worked in Distribution for Bucks County Courier Times. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf. He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Lucille (nee: Gallagher) Reed; and his sister Mary Stone. He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 42 years Diane (nee: Rudy) Reed; his son Joseph M. Reed; and his daughter Sandra M. Hemphill and her husband Thomas. Funeral services will be private at the request of the family. Burial will be held at the Washington Crossing National cemetery. Condolences may be posted on Galzerano Funeral Home.com.
