Leonardo Puccio

d. March 16, 2012

Leonardo R. Puccio of Levittown went to be with the Lord peacefully on March 16, 2012, with his family by his side, after a year and a half battle with pancreatic cancer. Len was born in Philadelphia in 1939 to the late Frank and Angie Puccio. He attended Pennsbury H.S., and enlisted in the Navy in 1956 along with his twin brother Frank; serving on the U.S.S. Intrepid as a Crew Barber. Len retired from the race track commission. He was an avid hunter and golfer, and loved spending time hunting with his sons Lenny, David, and E.J., and his nephew Frank and niece Angel. Len was also a member of the St. Ann Athletic Club in Bristol and a former member of the U.S.S. Intrepid Alumni Association crew. Len loved to tell his wonderful stories at the family gatherings where all ears present would listen to tales of his childhood at Ideal Bakery in Bristol Borough, and the mischief he and his brother would find. Len was a great storyteller and a great friend. Anyone who met him would feel the joy and laughter of Len’s many stories. He was preceded in death by his son David M. Puccio and daughter Antoinette C. Puccio. Left to cherish his memory are his twin brother Frank and his wife Judy; Rose (Heston) Puccio with whom he resided; his children Len Puccio Jr. (Laurie), Ginger Puccio (Guido), E.J. Puccio (Kristen), Tina Puccio Molina (Jim), Danielle Puccio (Jack) and their mother Dot Adams; his grandchildren Kevin Horan Jr., Lenny Puccio, Michael Puccio, and the apple-of-his-eye Gianna Molina; his Aunt Yolanda Arndt; and Uncle Anthony and Aunt Betty Petromali; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, 10am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Funeral service will begin 11am in the funeral home. Interment will take place privately at a later date. The family requests contributions to Assistance in Health, 1331 E. Wyoming Ave., Phila., PA 19124.
