Richard “Bud” Wheeler of Yardley, PA, passed away on Sat., March 10, 2012, with his loving family by his side. He was 78. Born in Camden, NJ, he served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. He worked at Columbus Flea Market for 25 years and was retired from Strick Trailer Corp. in Fairless Hills, PA. The last 5 years he enjoyed painting with his son Rich. He loved the Phillies and the Eagles, and enjoyed working in his yard; and spent most of his days outside. He also loved the Jersey shore and pulling the slots. He was preceded in death by his loving mother-in-law Bessie Mangin and his beloved sons Ronald and Robert Wheeler. He is survived by his wife, and sole mate of 55 years, Emily (nee: Mancini); his son Richard Jr. and his wife Vicki; and loving daughter Ruthann Wheeler and her husband Ken, who took excellent care of her father every day during the last 2 months of his life. He is also survived by his grandchildren Valerie Ann Pellechia (Paul), Carrie Ann Baldwin (John), Monica and Mike Wheeler, Summer Roni and Bobby, and Jacob and Victoria; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; his 2 daughters-in-law Joy Wheeler and Rebecca Federman; his uncle Bill Mancini; aunt Ramona Frollo (Mike); many dear friends and neighbors, especially Bill Jankowski and Andy Giambrone; and his sweet cat Maggie Begonia. Family and friends are invited to his memorial Mass 11am on Sat. (March 24) at Christ the King Church, 465 Main St., Tullytown, PA 19007. In lieu of flowers or Mass cards the family would be grateful for donations in Richard’s name to Christ the King Church.
