Emilio Gonzalez

Emilie Gonzalez, age 87, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2012, at his residence with his family at his side. Born and raised in Lares, Puerto Rico, he moved to New York, and in 1972 moved to Bristol. He worked in New York in the hotel industry. He was a loving and caring father, grandfather, and dear friend who had a “heart of gold.” He enjoyed gardening and fixing things. He was devoutly religious and truly loved the Lord. Emilio graduated from the Latin American Bible Institute Inc. Of New York in 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents Concepion and Juana Gonzalez; 2 brothers and 2 sisters; and his wives Milagros Gonzalez and Carmen Iris Gonzalez. He will be greatly missed by his children Mildred Delgado and her husband Hector, Angel Gonzalez and his wife Miriam, Norma Santiago and her husband Nectali, and Moises Gonzalez and his wife Norma. He is the loving step-father of Abuid Troche, Abisai Troche, Abigail Almonte, Abi Cornelius, and Abimael, Abiezer and Abiada Troche. He is the dear friend of Marcelino Villanueva; beloved grandfather of Luis, Aliea, Christina, Raynaldo, Vanessa, Victoria, Nectali Jr., Elizabeth, Jeremy and Bridget; and numerous extended grand and great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, 7-9pm, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road, and Saturday., 9-10am, at 1st Spanish Assembly of God, 4917 Beaver Dam Road, Levittown, where a religious service will begin 10am.
