Lucia Palumbo

Lucia Palumbo passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her three loving sons on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at 12:28pm. Lucia was a loving mother to her three boys, and a devoted wife to her late husband Nicholas. Her special smile and warm personality always brightened up everyone’s day. The Sunday Italian pasta dinners were always prepared with home-made gravy, and never missed by her sons and grandchildren. Lucia’s strong Catholic religious beliefs were her guide through life and the basis for her honest and loving nature that everyone experienced each time they were in her company. She was predeceased by her husband Nicholas; her parents Giovanni and Josephine (nee: Fortunato) Petruzzelli; her brothers Pasquale and his wife Sylvia, Joseph and his wife Rose, and Germano Petruzzelli; her sister-in-law Barbara; and brother-in-law Daniel. She will be missed by her sons Nicholas Jr. and his wife Teresa of Bensalem, Robert of Bristol, and David and his wife Christine of Ivyland. She is also survived by her grandchildren Teresa Davis (Neal), Nicholas Palumbo III, Anthony Palumbo (Maureen), Matthew Palumbo, Gina Palumbo, and Olivia Palumbo; great grandchildren Nicole, Abigail, and Madeline Davis; her brother Carmen Petruzzelli of Roxborough; and sisters Theresa Serpiello of Mayfair, Phila., and Anna Pykosh and her husband Nicholas of Blue Bell, PA; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wed., 8:30-9:30am, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St. in Bristol Borough. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am at St. Ann Church. Interment will follow in St. Mark Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions to St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol, PA 19007.
