Catherine Catalina

Catherine “Kay” Catalina (nee: Gallino), age 90, peacefully passed away on February 1, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in the Somerset area of Pennsylvania, she then resided in Trenton, NJ, and later moved to the newly established area called Levittown. She worked for the Bristol School District at John Fitch School as a cook, as well as a teacher’s aide. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and sister. Kay enjoyed playing Bingo at Immaculate Conception Church and trips to Atlantic City, and most of all she loved to volunteer at Langhorne Gardens. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and the love of her life, her husband Edward of whom she was married to for over 62 years. She will be sadly missed by her children Elaine Wierzbowski (Richard Hitchens), Ed Catalina Jr. and his wife Gail, and Eric Catalina and his wife Lizanne. She is the loving grandmother of Michael, Charles, Jeanette, Brianna, Sierra; and great grandmother of Katie, Ryan, Devon, Olivia, Dane, and Chase. She is also survived by 3 sisters Joan Garsh, Angie Nielsen, and Dolly Kilpatrick; a brother Tom Luce; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Sat., 9-10:45am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Funeral Mass to follow 11am at Immaculate Conception Church.
