Isabel Diaz

d. January 18, 2012

Isabel “Betty” Diaz (nee: Frausto), was called home into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on January 18, 2012, at home in Langhorne, PA, after a courageous battle with Cancer. She was 63. Born in Lockhart, Texas, “Betty Boop” moved to Pennsylvania after signing up to serve with VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America). She spent 30 years as a resident of Bristol Borough. She was a 1966 graduate of Austin High School, a 2000 graduate of Bucks County Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Business Management, and proudly achieved her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from Temple University in 2008. Betty was employed with General Doors of Bristol, PA, for over 34 years, and most recently employed by Clopay of Bristol, PA, as the Distribution Center Coordinator for the Philadelphia region. Betty enjoyed lifting her beautiful voice in song as a member of the choirs of St. Ann Church of Bristol, Our Lady of Grace Church of Penndel, and the Archdiocesan Choir of Philadelphia. She traveled to Lourdes of France, and Fatima of Portugal. She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and loved the Phillies and Eagles. She often lovingly sparred with her Texas siblings over bragging rights. She was the daughter of the late Juan and Josephine Frausto; and is predeceased by her husband Robert “Bobby” Diaz. Betty is survived by her daughters Roberta Leonhauser (Mark) of Langhorne, and Rosalie Berrocal (Israel Jr.) of Bristol. She will be sadly missed by her 9 grandchildren, Anthony, Mark, Robert, Israel III, Matthew, Aliyah, Elijah, Thomas, and Maraya. She also leaves behind 7 siblings residing in Texas and Georgia. Family and friends are invited to share in her life celebration Sunday, Jan. 22, 6-9pm, and Monday, Jan. 23, 8:15-9:15am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 23, 10am, at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 Bellevue Avenue, Penndel, PA. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Condolences may be posted on the Galzerano Funeral Home website. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Isabel Diaz, please visit our flower store.
