Carmen Barruzza

Carmen S. Barruzza, age 92, passed away January 10, 2012 at Langhorne Gardens. He resided in Tullytown and Bristol Borough for many years before moving to Bensalem. Mr. Barruzza was a well-known area businessman. He was the founder of Central Supply Co. in Bristol Borough. In earlier days, he worked for Kaiser Metal Corp., and was a Constable for Tullytown Borough for many years. He was a U.S. WWII Army Veteran. He was a pilot in the Civil Air Patrol in the 1950’s, as well as being a member of the American Kennel Club where he bred and showed Collies. Carmen was an avid gardener and enjoyed world-wide traveling with his wife. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 60 years, Christine (nee: Pirolli); his brothers Vito and Michael Barruzza; and granddaughter Angela. He will be sadly missed by his sons Anthony and his wife Irma, and Michael and his wife Victoria. He is the loving grandfather of Carmen II, John, Anthony, and Diane; and great grandfather of Rachel, Amber, Michael, and Kiley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, 7-9pm, and Tuesday, 9am, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street in Bristol, followed by his religious services, 10am, at the funeral home.
