Helen Amodei

Helen K. Amodei (nee: Heiser) of Hulmeville, PA, went home to the Lord on Sat., January 7, 2012, at Attleboro Rehabilitation Center in Langhorne. She was 79. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she has been a resident of Hulmeville since 1965. She is a retired employee of Sears & Roebuck Co. where she was a Credit Supervisor for over 20 years. Helen was politically active, especially for Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick, and together they worked tirelessly on the Dark Hollow Dam project which resulted in the elevation of homes along Neshaminy Creek. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved the Phillies and traveling with her husband, but most of all she loved her family; especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her childhood sweetheart and true love, Joe Amodei, who she was married to for 58 years; and her children Cindi Rosenberger and her husband Robert of Levittown, Joseph Amodei and his wife Ginger of Langhorne, Joanne Williams and her husband Joseph of Hulmeville, David Amodei of Penndel, and Steven Amodei of Levittown. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Robert, Jeffrey, Nichole, Kristina, Katie, David, Andrew, Steven, Dana, Daniel, and Brooke; 2 great grandchildren, Aubrey and Lucy; her sisters Thelma Pfeffer, Grayce Baur, Alice Heiser, Margaret Smith and Ella Heiser all of Philadelphia; a brother Harry Heiser of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Christian Life Center, Galloway Road, Bensalem, on Sat., January 14, at 11am. Interment at Washington Crossing Cemetery will take place at a later time.
