Daniel DeGennaro

Daniel “Rio or Danny D.” DeGennaro, age 56, passed away suddenly on December 28, 2011. He was born in New Castle, PA, and raised in the Levittown area. Danny was a graduate of Pennsbury High School class of 1973. He was an extremely talented singer, song-writer, and guitarist extraordinaire who played with many renowned musical artists all over the world. Music was his heart and soul. Danny was an optimist who always looked for the best in things. He loved to spend time with his daughter, family, friends, and puppy Lucy. Danny had a passion for cooking and enjoyed relaxing and watching movies. He was preceded in death by his wife Christina (nee: McInnis); his parents Jack Jr. and Dolores DeGennaro; and his brother Jack DeGennaro III. He will be greatly missed by his loving daughter “who was his biggest fan” Gianni Marie DeGennaro and her mother Lisa Kingston; his brother Gary; and sister Linda. He was also loved by his nephews Christopher, Joey, and Vincent; and aunts, cousins, and many friends. He will live on through his soulful lyrics and music. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tues., 6-9pm, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown, and Wed., 10:30am, at Our Lady of Grace Church in Penndel. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Galzerano Funeral Home are greatly appreciated.
