Eugene Petolillo

Eugene “Jens” Petolillo passed away peacefully on 12-27-11 at Silver Lake Rehab ctr. He was 83. He was born and raised in Bristol and was a former employee of the Manhattan Soap Co. (aka Dial Soap) where he worked in production. Jens was a member of the 5th Ward Italian Mutual Aid of Bristol. He will be remembered as a quiet and gentle soul who was frequently seen at Cesare’s Restaurant and other local businesses. In his youth, he was an accomplished roller-skater. He was preceded in death by his brothers Condino and John “Cesare” Petolillo, and his sisters Pauline Tozzi and Eleanor Sylvestro. He will be sadly missed by his brother Anthony of Edgewater Park, NJ, and sister Julia Grafenstine of Bristol. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call 8-9:30am Sat. at Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe St., Bristol, followed by his funeral Mass 10am at St. Ann Church.
