Walter M. Evanowicz “Walt”, age 52, suddenly passed away on November 12, 2011, in Kutztown, PA. He was born and raised in Baltimore, MD, until 1997 when he moved to Morrisville. He was a retiree of Pennsbury School District where he taught orchestra. He was also an accomplished Cellist and founder of Falcon Strings Ensemble at Pennsbury High School. He had a love of music and also wrote poetry, as well as being a music composer who, under his direction, performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Walt enjoyed the company of his furry companions. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Marie Evanowicz and his uncle George Schaible. He will be missed by his wife Karla (Jorgensen); his children Kacyn, Kataryna, and Joseph Evanowicz. He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Lon and Karen Jorgensen and his aunt Nadia Schaible. Relatives, friends, former students, and teachers are invited to gather Friday, 5:30pm, at Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road, Levittown, followed by his religious service at 8pm in the funeral home. Also, a funeral service will be held Sat., 10am, at St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2401 Eastern Ave., Baltimore, MD 21224. Memorial donations can be made in Walter’s name to “No-kill Animal Shelter” of your choosing.
