Andrew Cordisco, age 90, peacefully passed away on Sept. 17, 2011 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital. He was born and raised in Bristol, PA. He was a former employee of Kaiser “Fleet Wing”, and a retiree of McGuire Air Force Base where he worked as a civilian carpenter. After his retirement he worked with his brother-in-law Ray Angelo of R.A. Construction. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII where he served in Germany, and was a Purple Heart recipient. Andrew was a member of the Italian Mutual Aid, ROMA Club, Elks of Burlington, Burlington Township Senior Center, Bristol Senior Center, and the Knights of Columbus Burlington Council 589. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who cherished the time he spent with his family. He enjoyed watching sports; especially the Phillies, and dancingamd listening to the music of Lawrence Welk. He was preceded in death by his parents Nicolo and Adeline (nee: Liberatore) Cordisco; this two brothers John and Angelo Cordisco; and his sister Stella Valentino. He will be greatly missed by his wife, the love of his life for 65 years, Margaret (nee: Angelo). He is the loving father of Michael and his wife Nancy, and Anthony Sr. and his wife Angela, beloved grandpop to Michael and his wife Meredith, Christina, Rebecca, Andrew, Anthony Jr., Vincent and “the little one” Danielle; and two great grandchildren Sebastian Michael and Francis David Cordisco. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wed., 6-9pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. All are invited to join with the family to celebrate his funeral Mass Thursday, 10:30am, at St. Paul Church (St. Catherine Drexel Church) located at Union Street and St. Mary Street, Burlington, NJ 08016.
