Jovie Casmirri

Jovie N. Casmirri (nee: Marchetti), age 91, passed away on July 23, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Bristol Borough. Jovie was a retiree of Purex Corp. where she worked in many positions at the factory. She will be remembered for her wonderful cooking. She also enjoyed crocheting for her family and friends, and all who knew her. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents Pasquale and Elizabeth (Muzio) Marchetti; her siblings John, Albert, Angelo, Nick and Anthony Marchetti, and Flo Shelton; and her loving husband of 71 years Dominic. She will be sadly missed by her children Catherine States and her husband William, Joan Bellerby and her husband Joseph, and Frank Casmirri Sr. She is the loving grandmother of 9, Tracy (Tom) Tosti, Kelly Bellerby, Michelle (Ken) D’Alfonso, Joanne Bellerby, Sharon (Tom) McCullough, Donna (Chris) Collins, Susan States, Frank Casmirri Jr., and Nicole Casmirri; 9 great grandchildren; a sister Josephine Lavrigata; sister-in-laws Pearl Dean, Rita Smith, and Evelyn Starnes; brother-in-law Anthony Casmirri and his wife Dorothy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, 9:30-10:30am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street in Bristol. Religious services will begin, 10:30am, in the funeral home.
