Ross B. Kahler, age 39, of Levittown, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Kindred Hospital in Philadelphia. Born in Philadelphia, he resided for a short time in Jacksonville, FL, and Daytona Beach, FL, but lived most of his life in this area. He was a former employee of Amtrak, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran who received various decorations including the Battle “E” Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2nd award), Southwest Asia Service Medal (3rd award), Kuwait Liberation Medal, Good Conduct Award (1st for period ending 93Feb12), and Comcarairwing One Ltr of Commendation. He was a big gentle and lovable man who will be missed by all. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. He also loved music and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his grandparents Catherine and John Kahler and Clinton Burns; an aunt Nancy Young; and uncles Clinton, Tommy, and David Burns. He will be greatly missed by his parents John and Linda (nee: Burns) Kahler; his twin brother Randy Kahler; and his niece Danielle and nephew Randy whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Melba “Meem” Burns; his aunts Diane and Barbara; uncles Jeffrey, Jimmy, and Mickey; and loving cousins Michael, Christine, Jenny, Allison, Nick, Erick, Melissa, Heather, Deana, Kiley, and Austin. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Friday, 10:30am-12:30pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown, where a funeral service will begin 12:30pm in the funeral home.
