Mary Fortini

Mary C. Fortini, age 88, of Bristol, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Langhorne. Born and raised in Bristol, Mary was employed as a Seamstress for many years, and later as a professional Beautician with her late brother Louis Pirri. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Ann’s Church and a member of the Golden Marks, both in Bristol Borough. She was a fundraiser for Deborah Hospital, and a member of the Pennhurst Parent Association, and volunteered her time for many other worthwhile causes. Mary was a lifelong advocate of people with special needs. She was a loving and caring person who loved spending time with friends, helping others, and traveling; but most of all she cherished her time with family. She is the devoted widow of Dominick J. Fortini; and will be greatly missed by her children Dolores A. Smith of Spring Hill, TN, and Peter D. Fortini and his wife Karen of Warrington, PA; 5 grandchildren Sean Smith and his wife Sandra, Alina Chrisman and her husband Thomas, Rachele Fortini, Jacquelyn Fortini, and Julie Fortini; and 3 great grandchildren Serena Smith, James Cooker, and Thomas Chrisman. She is also survived by 3 sisters Yolanda Volponi, Loretta Ciotti, and Michelina Pirri; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, 8:30-10am, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance Street in Bristol Borough. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
