Francis McCloskey

Francis McCloskey, age 71, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2011, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. He was a former employee of Blue Comet Trucking where he worked as a mechanic. He was a very loving and devoted husband, father, step-father, grandfather, great grandfather, and good friend. He enjoyed traveling and playing blackjack. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret McCloskey; 3 sisters, a grandson Ryan; and his niece Berenice. He will be greatly missed by his wife Violet (nee: Smith); his children Colleen, Frank, Michael, and Stephen; his step-children Beverly and Keith; his grandchildren Tiffany, Joseph, Megan, Sarah, and Sean; great grandchildren Payton and Jayden; a brother Jim; a sister Eileen; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Friday, 1-2pm, at the Galzerano funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road, followed by his religious service, 2pm, at the funeral home.
