William J. Donnelly Sr., age 75, of Bensalem, PA, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Chandler Hall in Newtown. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he has been a resident of Bensalem for the last 10 years. Mr. Donnelly was the founder of the Alcohol Foundation/Friendship Center. He was also past director of therapy at Livengrin, co-founder of Libertae House in Bensalem, and past director of Trevor’s Place in Philadelphia. Bill enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, but most of all he loved his family. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years Lorraine (nee: Osowski); his children William J. Jr. and his wife Lawanna of Langhorne, Tom and his wife Allison of Doylestown, Brian and his wife Eileen of Yardley, and Patricia Ann “Trish” and her husband Rick Rehmann of Mt. Laurel, NJ. He will also be missed by 11 loving grandchildren; 2 loving great grandchildren; his sister Barbara Cox; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Tuesday, 10am, at Calvary Full Gospel Church, 676 Lincoln Hwy., Fairless Hills, PA 19030. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
