George Carros

George Lee Carros, age 83, of Levittown, PA, passed away peacefully on Sat., April 30, 2011, at home surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Hartford, CT, he has been a resident of this area for over 50 years. He was employed as a Teamster with Local 470 until his retirement. He was a WWII Navy veteran who served in the Submarine Service in the Pacific Theatre. He was recently predeceased by his son Robert who passed away on April 27, 2011. George was the loving and devoted husband, of 62 years, to Betty Jane (nee: Pounder); and was the proud father of, and will be greatly missed by, his daughters Donna Lee Dean of Langhorne and Patricia (Schugardt) Smith and her husband Tom of Glen Burnie, MD, and Noreen Carros of Levittown. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Tracy Campbell, Brad Schugardt, Kyle Schugardt, and Nicholas Carros; his 8 great grandchildren; and his sisters Patricia Linares of Olyne, CT, and Noreen Aufiero of Manchester, CT. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, 6-8pm, at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 430 Radcliffe Street in Bristol. Interment will be conducted at a later date.
