Andrew Amoroso passed away peacefully on Sat., Feb. 26, 2011, at Statesman Woods in Langhorne. He was 99. He was born in South Philadelphia to the late Florenzo and Jennie (Germanio) Amoroso. He was also predeceased by his wife Jennie (Gambino) Amoroso, and his wife Elsie (Ulrich Sperto) Amoroso; and his sisters and brothers Millie Giordano (Joseph), Lena Barone (John), Jean D’Eramo (Fred), Florenzo (Margaret), Charles, Angie DiDio (Emilio) and an infant brother Bernard. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Jeanette Naulty (Anthony Cavacini); his son Andrew J. (Patricia J.) Amoroso; his step-daughter Dolores Knapp; his beloved grandchildren Dolores Davis (Paul), Jeanette Hollister (William), Andrew Amoroso (Ashley), Michael Amoroso, Colleen Amoroso, and Brian Amoroso (Stacy); his step-grandchildren Stanley Nielubowicz (Mary), Karen Morrissey (William); 19 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren. He was a retired employee of the Philadelphia School District and a member of the Philadelphia 8th District Police Neighborhood Watch Group. Andy enjoyed gardening, and gave his vegetables to family, friends, and neighbors. Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, March 4, from 8:30-9:30am at Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Road in Levittown. Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 10am, at Immaculate Conception Church, 3810 Bristol-Oxford Valley Rd., Levittown. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
